Join AIGA Boston and Director/Producer Merle Becker for Boston’s premiere screening of American Artifact: The Rise of American Rock Poster Art. Following the screening, a Q&A with Merle will take you behind the scenes—
moderated by Clifford Stoltze, founder/creative director of Stoltze Design, author of 1,000 Music Graphics and curator of POSTGIG.

Traveling cross-country to capture over 30 exceptional artists, Becker tells the story of American rock posters and the underground cultures they depict. Starting with San Francisco’s psychedelic posters of the 60’s, to punk’s posted flyers of the 80’s, to GigPosters—this extraordinary film leads viewers through the subcultures of the decades via the eyes of these truly inspired American artists.
